Emmanuel’s COVID 19 Task Force is up and running, so to speak. The Task force is commissioned to set standards and regulations as Emmanuel prepares to be open for worship and outside groups as we have in the past.
We are not looking at being open for worship or other groups until we are in the “green” phase. Since Lancaster County is currently seeing a great many cases reported each day we certainly cannot predict when that will be.
When we reopen our worship experience will be different in many ways: we will need to wear masks, we will need to be socially distanced, we will have no singing, no communion, no baptisms. We will enter through one door and leave through another. We will have hand sanitizer available. We will use only a bulletin for worship.
Again, all the details are being worked though using CDC and other resources that are widely available. The members of the Task Force are: Roger and Lisa Strause, Keith Frey – chair, Bill Hannegan – secretary, Frank Lynn, Valerie Hughes, and Pastor Tanner. Please keep the Task Force and its work in your prayers.
Also, a huge thank you to all who continue to contribute financially to Emmanuel. Your faithfulness in giving is so very much appreciated. Sending your gifts and tithes to the church weekly keeps us on tract.
Our Congregation Council met this past Tuesday evening via Zoom. They continue to function and attempt to move Emmanuel forward during these trying times. Please keep them in your prayers also.
