Card making will be held Saturday, September 14th at 9:00 am until noon in the Fireside Room. Come help make cards to mail to homebound and shut-in members of Emmanuel. Coffee, materials & supplies will be provided.
Wednesday Morning Prayer and Bible Study will resume Wednesday, September 4th. Morning Prayer will be at 9:00 am followed by Bible Study in the Fireside Room from 9:30 – 11:00 am.
Our Worship Services will return to 10:15 am on Sunday, September 8th. Christian Education Classes will also resume on September 8th beginning at 9:00 am.
Each week between August 4 and September 1, we will be collecting needed items for school kits. Our goal this year is to provide 100 school kits for LWR. The Nativity of Our Lord Service will be held December 24th at 7:00 PM with Festival Liturgy of Holy Communion and Candlelight. Please note there is one service on Christmas Eve. Hanging of the Greens will be hung in the church on Sunday, December 23rd after the morning worship service. Come and help get the church ready for the celebration of Christmas. Everyone is invited.
Our Advent Workshop will be held December 2 at 9:00 A.M. Make an Advent Wreath for Home. Please bring a plate about 15” in diameter for the wreath. Make sure the plate will hold water. Greens, oasis, and candles will be provided. Cost of materials is $7.00 for each wreath. A Continental Breakfast will be provided.
This year there is a choice of ways to celebrate the season. You may purchase a poinsettia for $9.00 each, or you may wish to contribute to the Greens Fund which helps decorate the church with garlands. December 2nd, 9th and 16th following worship, we will be holding our Christmas Market at the back of the church. Crafts, gift items and baked goods will be available. Proceeds will be sent to the Children’s Hospital in Tanzania.
The Annual Harvest Dinner & Basket Raffle will be held Sunday, December 18th at 5:30 PM. Admission is a food item for the Food Bank.
