Emmanuel Lutheran Church is a community of Lutheran Christians located in the historic and beautiful West End of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  

We are a congregation of the Lower Susquehanna Synod and a companion congregation with Mbalizi Lutheran Church in Mbeya, Tanzania, a congregation of the Konde Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. 

Our congregation has been here since 1888, serving Christ and the community for over a hundred and twenty-five years.

Worship Service time: Sunday Mornings at 10:30 a.m., starting Sunday, September 4, 2022.   

Holy Communion is served every Sunday Morning.

Christmas Worship Schedule: Christmas Eve – Saturday, December 24, at 8:15 p.m. Christmas Day – Sunday, December 25, at 10:30 a.m.

Christian Education:  Adult Sunday School meets Sundays in the Fireside Room at 9:15 a.m.

Adult Sunday School will offer They May Not Come Back and Here’s Why through November 13th. This class will look at the impact on church attendance following the pandemic and will help offer insight for Emmanuel’s Call Committee as they look to complete the Ministry Site Profile.

Adult Education classes will finish the year with Not a Silent Night by Adam Hamilton, November 20 – December 18. This study helps to see Jesus from Mary’s point of view. A short video is part of this study.
